Climate Law at the Turkish Grand National Assembly: Parties Unite to Expand Legislation!

Following the devastating frost disaster in April 2025 that clearly highlighted the impacts of climate change, the Climate Law has been referred from the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) plenary session to parliamentary committees. The scope of the law is being expanded, incorporating comprehensive input from all stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions. With the first four articles already approved, detailed committee reviews will soon bring the law back to the TBMM agenda.
